Stock tool - Carpenter
The carpenter in question had no real system to manage their stock, which meant a lot of manual recounting was required. It also regularly happened that certain items were out of stock, causing problems when fulfilling orders.
Create a system that is easy to use — the carpenters themselves are not warehouse staff — so that errors are minimised and stock levels are as accurate as possible.
After an introductory meeting and a tour of the warehouse, during which the work processes and desired workflow were explained, we explored what would be possible. Following an agreement, a system was built that allowed items to be “checked out” using a scanner and a few simple steps. Backup options were also provided.
