Volunteer planning tool

Problem statement.

Planning events and signing up volunteers with the necessary skills was becoming increasingly difficult as the number of events and volunteers had grown.

Intended goal.

To simplify all of this while also increasing transparency for members. Members should be able to track their own registrations. Managing skills and creating events is handled by a small group of responsible administrators.

Approach.

Together with the non-profit organisation, we assessed what was needed, how it could be realised, and what the interim checkpoints would be. The functionality was, as requested, integrated into the existing website.
